SOPHIE CLAIRE CHEW
Sophie is a trainee lawyer.
Sophie graduated with a First Class honours degree in Law from SOAS, University of London, UK. She was the top student in Family Law.
Sophie also has a Distinction in Classical Studies from King’s College, London.
Sophie won the prestigious Angus Ross Prize for literature in 2010. The Angus Ross Prize is awarded by the University of Cambridge International Examinations to the top A-level English literature student outside Britain.
As a student, Sophie was emcee for various public events in Singapore, including the Asian Youth Games Opening Ceremony.
Sophie is passionate about family law causes. She spent 8 years volunteering with various women’s rights groups including the UK National Centre for Domestic Violence and at Singapore charity Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME) where she helped female foreign domestic workers with legal issues. Sophie also volunteered at the Singapore Committee for UN Women for 3 years.
Sophie assists in appeal cases and cases involving children and high net worth assets.
